ABOUT
Hi! I am a Portland Oregon-based puppeteer, theatre-maker, and all-around artist. Growing up in the rural Sierra Nevada foothills of California(where gold was first discovered, in fact!), I started making art before I could even talk or walk, and I've never stopped! I'm most drawn to making work about mental health and the complexity of the human mind, in a dreamlike but dark magic realism lens. My work has been described as having a 'creepy-cute' aesthetic and often involves adorable monsters.
I currently work as Managing Director + Lead Puppeteer for the nationally-touring R-rated horror/sci-fi/comedy/rock musical puppet company, Puppeteers For Fears. Additionally, I take on commission puppetry/props work when I can and keep myself busy with my own personal work. (click here to see my upcoming projects!)
I hold a Masters degree in Puppet Arts from the University of Connecticut and a BFA in Theatre Performance with minors in Studio Arts and Shakespeare Studies.
Outside of making all sorts of things, I enjoy thrifting for vintage fashion, hosting full moon parties, eating fun new(pescatarian) foods, petting my cute cat, and finishing a good puzzle or crossword.
